Cerita kelahiran Faith

Sebenernya harusnya nerusin post trip to Singapore tapi baru sadar kalau selama ini belum pernah cerita soal kelahiran Faith ya.. -> gimana sih pdhal ceritanya mau rekap-in moment2 pentingnya Faith.. ini birth story kok gak pernah ditulis.. doeng.. *toyor diri sendiri*
duh masih inget gak yaa udah mau 2 taun?

Ok here goes..

Jadi Faith itu dulu EDD-nya seharusnya 31 January 2011.. jadi sebagai emak yang gak mau rugi, aku berencana untuk ambil cutinya dekat2 akhir January aja, jadi nanti lebih banyak waktu dirumah. Menurut pengalaman temenku juga, dia udah ambil cuti terus bengong2 dirumah karena anaknya belum lahir2.

Tapi entah kenapa bulan-bulan December-January itu banyak banget dikasih project (dulu masih kerja sebagai konsultan).. terus badan udah mulai capek.. bayangin aja hamil2 gini masih pulang jam 12 malem hihi.. , terus ditambah komen dari satpam cewek di kantor, katanya "ini ibu udah bulannya yaa.. udah turun banget perutnya... kok masih kerjaaa..."
Akhirnya memutuskan untuk mulai cuti tanggal 17 January 2011!! Mungkin udah firasat juga kali ya? karena Faith lahir tanggal 17 January 2011!

Bumil ndut yang susah jalan dan suaminya yang sama2 clueless masih sibuk ke Giant beli2 barang2 baby... lupa deh beli apa aja tapi masih banyak ternyata yang belum kebeli.. yang paling inget sih beli mattrass buat ditaroh di meja belajar (jadi baby tafel gitu hehe).. sama minyak telon, minyak kayu putih sama pampers..

Inget banget pas ngantri bayar udah gak kuat akhirnya numpang duduk di kursi pijet yang dipajang sama orang situ..

Minggu, 16 January 2011
Pagi-pagi pas mau mandi, ngeliat ada flek!
Deg-degan.. wah wah.. apakah udah mau lahiran??
Tapi belum terlalu sakit perut...
Akhirnya mutusin untuk pergi ke gereja dulu baru nanti kontrol ke RS pulang gereja.

Pulang gereja kita ke RSPI, ternyata kalau hari Minggu itu RS agak sepi ya.. aku pikir RS itu rame 24 jam hehehee..
Langsung ke bagian delivery room, terus di CTG (dicek denyut jantung baby sama kontraksi) dan dicek pembukaan -> ternyata sakit yaa dicek pembukaan itu !!
Katanya belum ada pembukaan, disuruh pulang lagi..

Akhirnya pulang lagi..
Malemnya udah berasa ada kontraksi2.. udah sempet ditimer-in juga.. tapi kadang konsisten kadang enggak...
Akhirnya mutusin untuk tidur aja..
Bokap udah parno aja, katanya nanti kalau mau lahiran gimana.. mending nginep di RS aja..
Nyokap bilang, orang RS sama rumah cuman 5 menit kok.. masih keburu lah..
Hihihi lucu itu opa oma lebih heboh nungguin cucu pertama..

Senin, 17 January 2011
Jam 5 pagi, kebangun denger suara "Bress..." dan celana dalam basah...
Langsung bangunin Toma dan ke kamar mandi cium2 celana (maaf jorse).. katanya kalau air ketuban gak bau pesing seperti pipis, karena dalam keadaaan hamil gede bisa aja bumil gak sengaja ngompol..
Rasanya gak bau deh.. jangan2 air ketuban udah pecah.. tapi gak sampe banjir besar sih..
Langsung cabut ke RS..
Sama nyokap disuruh minum susu sama makan telor rebus hehehe.. ktnya biar ada tenaga..

Sampe di RS disambut sama suster yang muka bantal gitu..
Mungkin dia kesel jg lagi enak2 tidur hihihi..
Disuruh duduk dan dicek pembukaan.. -> terus terang aku lupa udah pembukaan berapa.. kayanya masih 2
Tapi entah kenapa susternya gak percaya kalo air ketubanku pecah..
Jadi aku di CTG dan katanya kontraksinya belum konsisten.

Pas udah pagian susternya udah ganti shift.. dan sepertinya mereka belum percaya atau lupa ya kalao air ketubanku pecah.. jadi aku masih boleh jalan2..
Aku dikasih bubur ayam buat sarapan pagi .. rasanya enak deh.. ohya selama 3 hari 2 malem di RS, aku ngerasain makanan di RSPI itu enak2 lho.. gak kayak makanan RS.. terus bisa milih mau makanan Indonesia atau western hehehe

Jadi aku sempet jalan2 sekitar RS.. katanya biar banyak pembukaannya..
Terus Toma mulai disuruh booking kamar.. dan aku minta sekalian urusin asuransi karena pake asuransi kantorku diganti 70% nanti sisanya bayar sendiri terus reimburse kantor Toma.. hehe
Bener-bener blessing, selama kontrol hamil, melahirkan sampai sekarang kita gak pernah keluar uang.. semua diganti kantor.. senang deh.. :)

Eh kok jadi ngelantur ya...

Gak lama nyokap dateng.. gantian Toma pulang mandi2 (karena pagi tadi belum mandi hihihi).. terus bawa2 barang2 buat nginep.. itu lho tas lahiran itu.. kita belum siapin karena nganggep enteng RS deket sama rumah hehehe..

Nyokap suruh aku minum susu colostrum, katanya bagus buat nambah tenaga..
Nyokap bilang pasti lahir hari ini nih...

Nah pas siangnya jam 12.30an gitu akhirnya dokter Aswin datang..
Dia cek pembukaan.. terus dia bilang masih bukaan 3.. dan dari hasil CTG bukaannya gak progressing..
Terus dr Aswin juga confirm kalau memang air ketuban sudah pecah.. tapi mungkin karena terhalang kepala Faith jadinya gak sampe banjir.. jadi dia bilang aku gak boleh kemana-mana lagi harus bed rest.. dan karena pembukaannya gak bertambah jadi dia bilang "diinduksi aja ya Bu.. maaf ya, mungkin agak sakit... tapi gak boleh lama2 karena sudah merembes air ketubannya.. "
Wah ini dr bae banget ya, pake minta maaf hihihi.. padahal ya semua orang tau kalau namanya lahiran pasti sakit lah...
Aku nurut aja..

Jadi susternya langsung test alergi jadi disuntik dibawah kulit gitu terus ditunggu beberapa saat kalau gak muncul tanda2 alergi baru dimasukin cairan induksinya lewat infus..

Aku inget pas dimasukin cairan induksi itu sekitar jam 2 siang..
Abis dimasukin cairan induksi, aku langsung bilang sama susternya, "wah sus, langsung berasa kontraksinya."
Sus-nya cuman mesem2 terus bilang, "sugesti aja mungkin bu.."
Duh kok dari tadi gak dipercaya melulu yaaa... apa karena tampang masih culun ya..
Tapi anyway aku gak complain sih sama pelayanan suster di RSPI, semua baik2 dan ramah2..

Gak lama Toma dateng.. ah senangnya aku liat suamiku..
Nah langsung deh tuh mulesssss... sampe gak bisa ngomong...
Sempet ngebel susternya, bilang mau pipis... terus dibantuin ke toilet..
Terus gak lama mulesss banget.. kayak mau pup..
Ngebel susternya lagi, bilang sus aku mau pup...
Nah saat itu susternya dateng dan bilang, cek pembukaan dulu ya bu..
Pas dicek ternyata udah pembukaan 8! wah cepet juga ya, ternyata manjur banget si induksi itu..
Langsung sama susternya dibilang suruh tiduran aja, gak usah pup..
Terus gak lama dia cek lagi, katanya udah pembukaan 9 dan udah saatnya masuk ke ruang bersalin.

Wah agak deg2an juga.. kalo gak salah saat itu jam 1/2 5 sore jadi sekitar 2.5 jam setelah diinduksi.
Langsung aku diprep.. dibawa ke ruang bersalin..
Katanya dokter Aswin lagi dalam perjalanan..

Disitu aku ngerasa mules banget.. cuman diem aja dan berasa kedinginan banget.. dan pengen muntah..
Untung kita bawa kaos kaki, jadi aku minta tolong Toma pasangin kaos kaki sambil dia pijit2 kakiku...
(btw kaos kakinya ternyata yang dibawa bolong lagi hihihi.. bikin malu aja)..
Mules bangetttt.. pernah ga sih berasa mules tapi gak boleh ngeden? kan ga enak banget
Kata susternya jangan ngeden sebelum bukaan lengkap nanti salurannya bisa bengkak.. hiks..

Terus pas lagi nunggu dr, aku berasa ada something yang moving di perut, kaya bunyi gruduk2 gitu.. kayaknya Faith udah mau dorong keluar gitu... si Toma juga bilang dia liat perutku itu goyang2 ...
mungkin dia udah gak sabar ya?

Gak lama dr Aswin dateng..
Bersama dua bidan cewek..
Kakiku dinaikin ke stand gitu deh..
Terus aku minta Toma buat ga usah liat2 bagian bawah hehe takut dia trauma.. hehe
Dicek katanya aku udah pembukaan lengkap..
Disuruh mulai ngeden saat ada kontraksi..
Jadi aku mulai ngeden.. dan mereka semua cheering me.. (nyokap ikut disitu tapi dibalik curtain jadi gak liat)..
Mungkin karena aku jarang ngeden kalo pup jadi gak tau gimana harus ngeden yang maksimal hehehe

Jadi bbrp kali ngeden tuh.. dan Toma ngintip2 dibawah sana! hehe penasaran dia..
Dan lucunya kan ngedennya cuman boleh saat kontraksi..
Nah pas menunggu kontraksi itu si dr dan bidan ngobrol2..
"dr ini asli mana ya..."
"asli Jawa dong..."
and so on and so forth.. hihihi..

Akhirnya setelah ngeden sekitar 4 kali putaran (agak lupa juga berapa kali), dr Aswin bilang.." tuh udah keliatan kepalanya.. ayo Bu dikit lagi..." bidan juga pada memberi semangat... dan jam 16.50 Faith lahir kedunia!! berasa agak perih pas Faith keluar.. tapi gak sebanding deh sama mules2nya..

Toma disuruh potong ari2 nya..
Dr Aswin sempet becanda... "disini Pak, jangan kepotong tangan saya nanti hehe"
Terus Faith langsung ditaro didadaku..buat IMD..
Masih agak bau amis2.. but she was so perfect.. her eyes were wide opened..
Nyokap langsung masuk... katanya dia udah sms ade2nya kalo cucunya udah lahir hehehe..
And we're so happy.. while dr Aswin menjait di bagian bawah sana.. btw bagian jait menjait gak sakit sama sekali (mgkn karena dikasih obat baal jg sih)..

And that's how she arrived in this world.
Perfect timing, karena jam 17.00 adalah jam praktek dr Aswin setiap Senin :)
Gak ngerepotin orang tuanya, gak ngerepotin drnya..

IMD tidak berhasil, mungkin karena dia kurang deket ke puting ya.. baru berpikir baby itu kan belum bisa gerak ya, harusnya kita deketin ya?
Anyway berapa kali Faith agak melorot gitu hahaha.. jadi dibetul2in posisinya..

Terus setelah sekitar 2 jam, susnya dateng lagi ambil Faith, digantiin baju.. terus dimasukin ke dalam inkubator.. katanya diangetin.. (mungkin karena Faith kecil banget cuma 2.3kg)...
Gak lama Faith pup... her first pup yang warna item itu..
Kata nyokap, "untung gak pup pas lagi didada kamu ya.. hehehe"

Terus Faith dibawa ke ruang bayi untuk diobservasi dan aku dibawa ke kamar.
Oh ya pas sampai kamar aku ditanyain sama susternya, "mau pipis ga Bu?"
Aku pikir mumpung ada susternya jadi aku mau..
Terus pas abis pipis, semprotan airnya itu kenceng banget..., aku ga test dulu, bisa bayangin gak sih kena daerah yang baru aja dijait?? hiks..

Anyway tp semuanya worked well.. aku juga udah langsung bisa jalan..

First birthday

Time does have wings!
On Faith's first birthday, we decided only to throw a small gathering with immediate family (us, my dad, my bro, mba Yanti and mba Sinah) at our house. Simple handmade decoration, a cake, and nasi tumpeng. My mom couldn't attend since she was in Korea at that time (but she took picture the next day). Due to distance, mom in law also can't attend, but we brought the cake and everything to her house later on.
My mom also gave out a lunch box package of nasi kuning (yellow fragrant rice) to her employees.

Some recap:

• She has eight teeth by the time she was one year old
• She dances every time she hears music
• She still didn't have the courage to walk by herself, but she liked to walk holding our hands
• She can raise her hand when asked "who's having a birthday?" (siapa yang ulang tahun?)
• She started eating rice, although the first week was a challenge.. 
• She can wave bye bye
• Geez, I wished I started this blog earlier so I could remember exactly what she could and couldn't do.., well, anyway, better late than never!!

I wanted to post her birthday video here, but somehow the upload couldn't go through (have tried twice).

Eleven months old : "dititah", first trip to the zoo, first Christmas

The 11 months picture above was our favorite. It was taken on a Sunday afternoon after church. The dress was a present from my mom.

At this month she started wanting to walk by holding to our hands ("dititah" - I don't know the English word for this). She could distinguish between our left/right hand. She would positioned our left hand to hold her left hand and our right hand to hold her right hand :) We would hold her from behind (can you imagine?)

First trip to the zoo
We took her to Taman Margasatwa Ragunan (zoo). The zoo was very big, but for some reason the animals were not as many to fill the space. But considering the cheap entry fee (only IDR 5,000/person), it was worth it. It's hard to find an open space recreation in Jakarta.

First Christmas

One month to go before her first birthday :) time flies!

Ten months old : start standing

At ten months old she started learning to stand. But i remembered she still couldn't pull herself to stand without help though. 

After getting back from Singapore trip (here), for some reason my breast milk supply became diminishing. Maybe because she was already drinking formula milk, so sometimes I gave up easily. When breastfeeding, if the supply was low, I'd get the bottle. Sigh. 

She's a happy baby. The picture above was taken in Kimberley's (my friend Jimmy's daughter) 1st b'day party at Burger King, Senayan City. I also loved the picture below. We both smiled at the camera :)

Faith was around 10 months old at that video.
We used to perform "night entertainment" for her before tucking her to bed :)

Nine months old : crawling, Bali trip, my overseas biz trip

At nine months old she liked to pose like a mermaid/swimsuit model hehehe (see top picture). 

She also mastered the art of crawling :) and liked to point on something (as captured in the second picture). 

I loved my new job, but I had to attend a finance conference on 7-11 Nov 2011 in Singapore. That made me decided to introduce Faith to formula milk since my breast milk stocks won't be enough to cover five days supply. I remembered she refused to drink any formula milk the first try. That made me worried. However after many tries she's getting used to the taste. 

Before going to the conference, we went to Bali!! (4-6 Nov 2011) YAY..

I've booked the ticket just after Faith was born (due to Air Asia's promotion).

We went there with my college friends and their family. 

I was a bit nervous because it was Faith's first experience of flying and going out of town. 

Due to late check in, I sat by myself during Jakarta - Bali trip. Luckily Faith slept right after boarding and slept through the trip. We arrived in Bali safe and sound and enjoyed the trip :) 

Since this was Faith's first trip, I was over prepared. I packed half of large suitcase of her clothes and food. However it turned out my friend packed a lot more for her daughter :) 

On the way home, I noticed that Faith hide under her jacket and then pulled the jacket down as if playing "peek-a-boo". We used to play peek-a-boo with her, but that was the first time when she was the one who's  initiating it. I guess she has grasped the concept of the game :) 

Anyway, back to the conference, I still pumped my breast milk there and stored them in the hotel restaurant's freezer. I brought a lock and lock box that can fit them all and brought back the milk home. 

Toma said that the first night I was away, Faith was crying and humming "mamamamama"... as if looking for me. Toma didn't tell this to me. He didn't want to make me worry. However the next day Faith could sleep without looking for me.

I don't know if this is me being oversensitive or what, but I felt that when I finally got back home from that trip, Faith looked angry/upset to me. She didn't want to look at me for a while :( 

Eight months old : sit by herself :)

The above picture was Faith's first time eating and sitting in a high chair. She enjoyed it back then, but started a few months ago she refused to sit there. Maybe because we don't have any high chair at home so she's not used to it? She still likes to sit on her car seat though. 

Anyway, at this age she mastered to sit by herself from sleeping position to crawling position then sitting position. She also started to crawl, at first using her stomach. 

We also took her to a wedding party. Here's one of the picture hehehe :) 

Oh ya, I finally got a better job (time and location wise)..

God has been good to us :) 

Seven months old : learning to sit

At 7 months she liked to do a "half" sit up. She'd like to sit up from sleeping position, but still couldn't manage to do it. Therefore she would hold her body for about 30 seconds in a 45 degrees position. (can you imagine?)

Her favourite song was "Topi saya bundar" (my round hat). Everytime we sang her this song, she laughed :) especially when on the "bundar" (round) part. 

Six months old : eat eat eat, first tooth

She was getting used to the church. Sometimes she even slept through the sermon and woke up just before we were about to leave :)

She also started to eat twice a day. I followed the advice to wait until 3 days before introducing something new to eat. That way if she had an allergic reaction, I'd know which food was the culprit. Thank God she is not allergic to anything. 

Although there were times that she didn't want to open her mouth *sigh*. It was relatively easy to feed her food.  I used to be all stressed out when she didn't want to eat. Nowadays I'd just wait till she's hungry :)

I also realized that her vitamin, Apialys, played an important role in her appetite. 

Her two teeth erupted this month. No fever or unusual crankiness whatsoever. We're truly blessed. 

Five months old : stranger/new place anxiety, start eating solid

At five months we took Faith to church for child dedication. 

We also started taking Faith to church regularly afterwards. At firsts she cried every time the worship music started. I think she was afraid of the loud sound. As I had to play keyboard, Toma had to take care of her by himself. Thank you hubby for doing this!

Funny story, a lady in the church once told me that at first she and her friends took pity of Toma bringing her baby to the church by himself and wondered where the mom was hihihi :)

We also brought her to meet my college friends at Jack Rabbit. She cried almost through the time. Maybe because we rarely brought her to meet people (we only brought her to Toma's mom - which she cried at first too, and to the mall - no interaction with people). 

I guess she was a sensitive baby :) 

My mom also decided to feed her solid at 5.5 months (although I would like her to have it at 6 months). This happened when I was in the office. She said Faith looked hungry all the time. So I guess it's a valid reason :) Her first meal was brown rice porridge (bubur beras merah). She was still continued to be fully breastfed though. 

I also started to look for other job as I'd like to have more time with Faith. 

Milestone: she mastered to roll over both direction 

Oma's bday

We celebrated Toma's mom 60th bday at Pandan Bistro and then took pictures at home.
Faith slept in the restaurant as if allowing me to eat first. She woke up when I finished eating :)

Faith started to laugh out loud at around four months.
This is the video that she laughed over Toma's singing Ginggangguliguli :)

Four months old: first time swimming, photo shoot :)

At this month I started going back to work. Lots of time spent in the office's nursery room to make sure Faith can still continue to have breast milk :)

Three months old - she slept through the night!

Milestone:

1. She slept through the night (woke up at 4-5am then drink milk and continue sleeping)
2. She can lifts head and shoulders when lying on tummy (mini-push up)

This used to be my regular morning snapshot! I love this picture as Faith and Toma have the same sleeping style :)

And the best thing was she loved to smile!

Two months old

At two months Faith started to show many expressions. 

She was very healthy.

I was still struggling though. 

She still woke up every 2-3 hours and didn't want to sleep on the bed. 

So I cuddled her in my arms and fell asleep sitting down on the bed :)

There was one time that she almost fell from the bed. How careless I was!

Thank God I woke up just in time to catch her and nothing bad happened! 

We took her to the church at two months. 

She was all smiley at the beginning, but began to cry in the middle.

I think because I didn't dress her properly, the AC was so cold for her. 

I also remembered she liked to be held upright (gendong berdiri) instead of baby style (gendong tidur).. 

A lady at the church reminded us that Faith still can't support her head so it's better to hold her baby style :)

The first month

The first month was the hardest for us.
We were still adjusting to her and vice versa.
I think I had a mild baby blues, whenever she cried I wanted to cry as well.
She woke up almost every hour so I was sleep deprived.
But it was all worth it when we saw her first real smile.
I remembered it was after the doctor's visit. She was wearing a navy shirt from ci Lollyta and sitting on bouncer from Principia's (Toma's office) colleague.
I forgot what made her smile... but luckily Toma was able to capture it.
